House removalists for Hornsby and the ridge suburbs
Off the main road the suburb changes shape: Hornsby Heights and Westleigh are almost entirely houses, and the driveways were cut into a ridge. House moves here are won or lost on the carry path, so that is where we start.
The carry path comes first
On streets like Binnari Road or out in Westleigh's cul-de-sacs, the distance from front door to truck tray can matter more than the number of rooms. Before the day we ask the unglamorous questions: where can the truck actually stand, is the driveway steep or stepped, which doors do the big pieces leave through, and is there a level spot to stage furniture while the truck is loaded. Ten minutes of that saves an hour of improvising with a wardrobe.
What the crew brings
- 3 movers, 1 truck, $350 an hour for most 2 to 3 bedroom homes: two carrying, one loading, so the truck never waits.
- 4 movers + 2 trucks at $500 an hour for large homes: two carry paths running at once, which is how a big house finishes in one day.
- Blankets, straps, trolleys and floor protection as standard, plus the patience for the piece that has to go over the balcony rather than through the stairwell.
